neighborhood within the city of Miami in the State of
Florida in the United States is the island of Key Biscayne.
South of Miami Beach is the location and it is accessible
through the Rickenbacker Causeway. The Key Biscayne
t-shirts show the outline of Florida with a star at the
exact spot. The barrier island was discovered by
Europeans when Ponce de Leon landed there in 1513. He
claimed it part of Spain, but it later became part of the
U.S. The other Key Biscayne t-shirts show two palm
trees to signify what a lush paradise this place can be.
As recently as 1951, homes on the island could be bought for
$9,540. Today, property on Key Biscayne is worth
millions. |
