On the
outskirts of Kansas City is the river city in Douglas County
called Lawrence. With 80,000 folks, it rises to the
sixth biggest city in the state, behind Wichita, Overland
Park, Kansas City, Topeka, and Olathe. The Lawrence
t-shirts profess an admiration of sports and athletics.
The University of Kansas is here and they boast one of the
strongest college basketball programs in the nation.
The Kansas Jayhawks are a #1 seed in this year's (2007)
