On the
north shore of Boston touching the Atlantic Ocean is the
industrial city of Lynn. The Massachusetts town is
home to many Boston commuters as the inexpensive real estate
attracts many to the town of 89,000. The Lynn t-shirts
feature team, which goes to the comradery that is felt here.
The mill town began to decline after reaching nearly 100,000
people in 1950. It has since recovered due to its
proximity to Boston, but it still has a high crime rate.
The other Lynn t-shirts feature the Sacred Heart Parish,
which is located west of the city. The famous saying
of this community is still heard to this day. It goes
"Lynn, Lynn, city of sin. You never come out the way
you went in. The girls say no but then they give in."
The phrase is repeated throughout the region. |
