Nicknamed the old line state, the northeastern State of
Maryland is to the north of Washington, D.C. and Virginia
and to the south of Pennsylvania. The capital city is
Annapolis, but the largest by a long shot is Baltimore.
The Maryland t-shirts make a taxation jab, stating that
anything you can dream up, they can tax. It is a dig
on the mostly Democratic government of the state. The
Black-eyed Susan is depicted in the Maryland t-shirts.
It is the state flower. In terms of sports, Maryland
is well represented, with the Orioles and Ravens in
Baltimore and a number of minor league baseball franchises
throughout the state. In addition, the Washington
Redskins play their games in Landover, making Maryland one
of the few states that currently hosts two NFL teams. |
