It
takes three counties to make up the city of Naperville, as
Will, DuPage, and Illinois County all have a piece.
After Chicago, Aurora, and Rockford, it is the next biggest
city in Illinois. The Naperville t-shirts cut off a
few letters to reflect a unique spelling. The town was
founded by a Joseph Naper in 1831 and was originally named
"Naper's Settlement." The Chicago suburb changed the
name in 1857 and has been the same ever since. The
Naperville t-shirts, on the other hand, are slightly
different. A number of newly famous people are from
here, including Gina Glocksen, an American Idol contestant
in season six. Being close to Chicago has helped
develop Naperville and boost real estate prices. The
average home value is now $271,000. |
