The
industrial city in Jackson County, Mississippi on the gulf
coast is the city of Pascagoula. Prior to Hurricane
Katrina, the population stood at about 26,200 residents.
Today, the figure is unknown. The Pascagoula t-shirts
can help give moral support to the community as they try to
rebuild. A stunning ninety two percent of the city was
flooded when Katrina came ashore. That which was not
destroyed quickly became damaged by mold. The
Pascagoula t-shirts are a welcome site as opposed to the
FEMA trailers that now surround the town.
Unfortunately, many residents in Pascagoula, Mississippi did
not have flood insurance and have not been able to recover
as fast. Many have tried to rebuild on the same spot,
but others have left for good. |
