Pictured are a
couple Schenectady t-shirts from our Albany metropolitan region
grouping. The name Schenectady means 'near the pines' and the
city is to the north and west of the capital. The Schenectady
t-shirts bear the title in a vintage style.
Although not technically a suburb of Albany, the city of
Schenectady is only about seven miles northwest of New York
State's capital city. It is a complete city in its own
right with a population close to that of Albany's. The
Schenectady t-shirts are quite popular with the folks in the
state and the students at nearby Union College. The
private liberal arts college was founded in 1795 and has
over 2,000 students. These female Schenectady t-shirts
are sure to be a hit around campus as well. The other
reason for the popularity of Schenectady, New York is its
long and storied history. It was settled over three
hundred years ago in 1661.
