The
borough of New York City that is the furthest south and
apart from the others is Staten Island. Even though
this borough has the lowest number of inhabitants relative
to the other four, it still contains 465,000 people, which
is more than most cities. These Staten Island t-shirts
are popular among all the tourists that come visit and want
to pick up a souvenir. The population and tourism
increased dramatically after the completion of the Verrazano
Narrows Bridge in 1964. That bridge gave Staten
Island, New York a direct path to Brooklyn and all the
development that followed. The explosive growth gives
more of a market for these Staten Island t-shirts as the
number of folks flowing back and forth is now enormous.
Many museums exist in the New York borough, including the
Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, the Snug Harbor
Cultural Center, and the John Noble Collection. |
