The
independent city along the Mississippi River in the State of
Missouri is that of St. Louis. Situated on the far
eastern side of the state, it also is across the river from
the State of Illinois. The St. Louis t-shirts feature
the famous archway that the city is distinguished for.
Sometimes the city carries the nickname of "The Lou" which
is also seen in these St. Louis t-shirts. There are
other rivers in and around the city besides the mighty
Mississippi. The River des Peres lies near the
southern end of St. Louis, the Missouri River is to the
north border, and the Meramac River is on the south.
Because of the confluence of these waterways, the city is
built on bluffs and terraces. |
