The Old
Pueblo city in Pima County in the southern portion of
Arizona is the city of Tucson. After the monster city
of Phoenix, it is the next largest city in the state and in
the top forty of the United States. The Tucson
t-shirts imply the need to make it there or 'bust'. It
is located only miles from the border of Mexico and as a
result, a very diverse population has taken hold. The
natives referred to in these other Tucson t-shirts are fewer
as much of the population has developed in just the last
twenty five years. In 1940, there were only 37,000
people living in Tucson, Arizona which pales in comparison
to the half million there today. With the rate of
movement to the southwest and the migration from Mexico, it
won't be long before it surpasses one million. |
