A state
that is part northern United States and partially southern
is the Commonwealth of Virginia. Inside the
Washington, D.C. suburban area is Northern Virginia, which
is culturally and politically different than the rest of the
state. Wherever you are, the Virginia is for Lovers
t-shirts are universally known. It is the motto of the
commonwealth and can be seen on many signs throughout the
state. These Virginia t-shirts express love in two
different ways. With Richmond as the capital and
Virginia Beach as the largest city, the state is divided up
into thirty two counties. Richmond was also the
capital of the Confederacy during the American Civil War.
Virginia seceded from the Union in 1861 and did not rejoin
the United States until 1870. |
