A number of game shows became hits in the 1980's and Press Your Luck was right there to capitalize. Although it only ran for three years from 1983 - 1986, Press Your Luck became a cult hit for years to come. The famous Whammy would always appear on screen when a contestant selected the wrong piece on the board. This Press Your Luck t-shirts shows the Whammy with that gleeful and mischievous look on his face. The strategy of the game was to never get a Whammy on the game board. One contestant (Michael Larson) figured out that there was a pattern to the game, so he went on the show and won over $110,000. The Press Your Luck episodes continue to air on the Game Show Network.
