The
television show "What's Happening" was a situation comedy
that ran from 1976 - 1979. Although only 65 episodes
were ever made, it became a classic show of the 1970's.
What's Happening was a story about three black teenagers in
the Watts section of Los Angeles, California. The
character Re-Run also went by Freddie Stubbs. This
Re-Run t-shirt shown here has him smiling away. Re-Run
was a large, dimwitted man that would wear red suspenders
and a red beret. He was always be the butt of his
jokes by his friends. The role was played by Fred
Berry, who recently passed away in 2003. |
